A LITTLE GEM IN THE HEART OF THE CITY
This renovation project successfully transformed a small 35 sqm apartment into a complete and comfortable living space, perfectly suited for modern life. A creative and precise design approach turned this small studio into a functional and elegant gem in the heart of Varese.
The first step was to completely rethink the layout. Removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the rest of the apartment created an open space that integrates living, kitchen, and sleeping areas into one functional and well-organized environment. A convenient utility area was also added, maximizing the apartment’s usability.
To make the most of the limited space, all furniture was custom-designed. Closets, shelving, a TV cabinet, and a compact but fully equipped kitchen were crafted to maximize storage and functionality.
The highlight of the project is a foldable bed with an integrated mechanism that transforms into a comfortable sofa during the day. This multifunctional solution allows the space to adapt seamlessly to different daily needs, combining practicality and style.
All systems were completely renewed, including a new heating and plumbing system, a modern and spacious bathroom, and air conditioning integrated into the false ceilings. These ceilings also house the lighting, combining spotlights and LED strips to create a soft, adjustable light that enhances the cozy and personalized atmosphere.
The finishes were carefully selected to visually expand the space. Porcelain stoneware flooring, along with warm, natural tones for the walls and furniture inspired by earthy shades, gives the studio a sophisticated and relaxing feel. Every detail was designed to maximize brightness and a sense of spaciousness, essential in small apartments.
This project is the result of integrated collaboration between designers, contractors, and artisans. From custom-made furniture to the technical systems, every detail was crafted with care, blending aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.
This studio apartment is not just a small apartment but an example of how thoughtful design can overcome the challenges of limited space, turning it into a cozy and inviting home. A little urban gem that shows how quality design can make even the smallest spaces extraordinary.
